Ayahuasca Restobar
Pisco cocktails and Peruvian bites inside a restored 19th-century Barranco mansion.
- Address: Av. San Martin 130
- District: Barranco
- Cuisine: Cocktail bar / Peruvian bites
Ayahuasca Restobar fills the Casona Berninzon, a restored Republican-era mansion in Barranco, Lima's bohemian seaside district. Built between 1875 and 1895, the house covers more than 12,900 square feet and keeps the character of its 19th-century architecture. It has been one of Barranco's best-known night spots for about 15 years, and pisco is the star. The bar is a reference for the pisco sour in Peru, with signature cocktails made from its own macerations of herbs and coca leaves and dozens of chilcano and pisco sour variations to explore. Lunch is served from noon with traditional and fusion Peruvian dishes, and the piqueos, shareable bites led by the house favorite, the piqueo Ayahuasca, start at 6pm. The restored rooms are the other half of the experience, which makes the place equally good for a long dinner, a celebration or a late night out.
