Miraflores, San Isidro & Barranco

The coast, the money, and the murals, in one afternoon.

  • Duration: 3 - 4 hours
  • Format: private

This private panoramic tour shows you three of Lima's most distinct neighborhoods in one easy half day. It starts on the Miraflores Malecón, the path along the top of the coastal cliffs, with a stop at Parque del Amor, where the sculpture El Beso by Peruvian artist Víctor Delfín watches over mosaic benches and the paragliders that take off nearby. You pass Larcomar, the shopping and dining center built into the cliff, and continue to San Isidro, with its financial district and El Olivar, an olive grove planted by Spanish colonists in the sixteenth century. The route closes in Barranco, Lima's bohemian seaside district, at the Bridge of Sighs and among its street art, cafés and colonial mansions. It takes about three to four hours, with short strolls along the boardwalk and through Barranco's streets rather than any demanding hiking. Afternoon into early evening is a lovely time to go, since the route ends in Barranco around sunset.
